Buried Beneath
Buried Beneath is a Solo, Worker Placement, Hero Defense game that fits in a mint-tin container.
In Buried Beneath you're playing as a retired hero who is thrust back into action to save the village you've retired to from what seems to be a random monster invasion... but things escalate as you realize that there's much more sinister motives and plans unfolding beneath your feet...
You'll be using limited resources and ordering villagers around in an effort to distract the monsters long enough for you to move around the village, bolstering your stats and performing actions and using skills in an effort to defeat unique invading monster groups that are trying to reach your village center. This culminates into a deadly boss battle at the end of the game to save the village and villagers from sure destruction!
The game uses Hero Defense and Worker Placement mechanics to give you a varying puzzle type experience over 4 waves. Set in a dark, gothic atmosphere where the tension runs high, you will be logically planning turns, using your skills efficiently and cleverly and using your brains to outwit the encroaching monster hordes...

Make sure your meeples are laying on their backs and not standing up!
Sometimes the rulebooks are not shipped as flat as they could be. If you’re having trouble closing your lid try this.
> Stack the 2 rulebooks and press the edges together tightly between your thumb and index finger. This will give you enough room for your tokens! You can also squish the stack between a couple of books and apply pressure for a couple seconds.

If you want a shorter, more intense gaming session, try starting the game from Wave 4 with 1 of the Villager Center buildings being damaged.

The First Expansion
Buried Beneath: A Shallow Grave is an expansion that more than doubles the initial content of the base game while also adding new modes and mechanics to the game.
This also adds a new mode to play the game cooperatively with a friend.
